Dr Stella Nugent
I qualified in 2016 with a professional doctorate although I have worked in a healthcare setting since 2004. I became a Registered and Chartered Psychologist and worked in forensic settings and subsequently worked with adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism. I worked with this client group in inpatient services and in the community. Latterly I have worked with adults in an acute setting. I am working with people with a range of mental health disorders and developmental disorders and difficulties.
My therapy and assessment experience includes Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). I take a compassionate approach. I promote a trauma informed care approach within the settings I work encouraging others to consider the history of the person as well as their immediate needs. I have completed diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Screening assessments for ADHD and take an interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and have a developmental difficulty or disability.
Fee: £110 per session
