One-to-one therapy

We offer a warm and professional therapy service to anyone over the age of 18 who feels stuck in life, or wants to improve their mental health.

All members of The Good Therapy team specialise in therapy for Trauma and Anxiety, Low self-esteem and Burnout. We also offer online trauma-informed ADHD assessments.

How it works when you contact us for 1-1 therapy

We can work with you online (using Zoom) or face-to-face in Taunton, Somerset.

The Good Therapy Team

Dr Claire Plumbly is the Director of Good Therapy Limited. She has hand selected nine experienced HCPC-registered psychologists who are all trauma-trained to join the Good Therapy Team. When you fill in the enquiry form we will match you up with the therapist best suited to you based on your needs and availability.  The therapist will contact you to arrange an initial free 15 minute call.

Free introductory call

This is usually a 15 minutes phone call (or zoom call) to discuss what you are currently looking for, answer questions you have about therapy, and to see if you gel with the therapist. If at this point the therapist believes that your difficulties can be helped by their therapeutic approach then they will offer you an appointment to meet for an initial consultation.

Initial consultation

This is an opportunity to go through your areas of difficulty in more detail, and understand what you’d like to be different in your life.  We then develop a roadmap for our work together which pulls together our understanding of your issues in the context of your life experiences and current circumstances.

We are are trained in a number of therapy models:
