Dr Charlie Ingham
I graduated with a doctorate in clinical psychology at Lancaster University in 2015. As a clinical psychologist I have worked in both the NHS and private practice, and I’m passionate at helping people to enhance their relationships, increase their sense of inner calm and lead happier, more fulfilling lives after trauma. A friendly and thoughtful person, people often describe me as a calming and containing presence. Building on your existing strengths, my aim is to join you on your healing journey so that together we can find solutions to help you move forward.
I have a keen interest in infusing traditional talking therapy approaches with body work including trauma-informed yoga, breathwork and polyvagal-informed interventions. I can offer a range of psychological approaches using my enhanced skills and training in a number of therapeutic techniques including compassion focused therapy, EMDR, and cognitive analytic therapy (CAT).
I have published research in the field of LGBT psychological wellbeing , and have an interest and expertise in working with gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.
I am registered as a practitioner psychologist with the regulatory body Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; PYL32337) and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists (ACP).
