Dr Lucy Armstrong
I work with people struggling with anxiety, difficult relationships, stress, burnout, trauma, low self-esteem, loss, and adjustment to physical health conditions.
I value working with clients to develop insight into patterns of problematic thinking and behaviour, and understand where these may have arisen from.
As much as I believe in looking to the past to make sense of difficulties, I am also keen to support you to be future focused, so that life can feel “lighter” and your values restored.
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist and accredited with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies). Alongside seeing private clients, I have also worked in the NHS for eight years.
My core training is in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and I often use an attachment perspective to formulate in the context of relationship difficulties.
I also draw on training within other therapeutic disciplines, including DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
Fee: £110-£130 per session
